Sehnsucht Atelier was founded in 2020. The aesthetic can be summed up as an exaltation of opposites and contradictions : gothic and romantic, steampunk and Victorian.
Each collection is built around the idea of an atemporal dimension, uncorrupted by the concept of “trends”.
Entirely made in Italy, the main textiles used for every collection are Silk, Lace and Wool.
Rebecca was born and raised in northern Italy where she studied Greek and Latin literature. She pursued her university studies in Paris and began working as a stylist. In 2020 at the age of 26 she founded her label Sehnsucht Atelier. Rebecca draws inspiration from the Victorian, gothic and steampunk aesthetic, with the purpose of creating stories divided into chapters rather than canonic collections.
Her passion for music and performative arts led her to create a dedicated section of Sehnsucht Atelier to Fucina, literally “the place where ideas are forged” – a visual diary entirely dedicated to artists and their interpretation of the collections under their own eyes and in their work practices.
